PEACE POLES
It is the intention of Veterans For Peace Chapters to plant several Peace Poles throughout Eastern Iowa. They are suitable for public or private spaces. To this end, we ask for your donations.
We have two Peace Pole materials to consider. One is made from 4 inch square vinyl tubing with lettering in several languages, if desired They cost about $350 each for an 8 foot long pole. The other is solid treated wood of approximately 3-1/2 inch square with hand painted lettering. These can be multi-colored poles or plain white. Language choices are limited. The cost is about $250 each for an 8 foot pole. Installation is to be arranged by recipient.
Please consider sponsoring the placement of one of these poles or bundling donations from a group of people you know. Our intention is to work with sponsors for location and pole messaging to make your pole unique. Contributions of any amount are appreciated. “May Peace Prevail On Earth” is the phrase used on most poles and only available in many languages on the vinyl poles.
Veterans For Peace chapter 161 is prepared to provide a wooden pole or provide $250 toward a vinyl pole.
